I want to write about Ukraine but what can I say?
I sit at home, while they are being preyed upon.
In school they taught me about the Holocaust and WW2:
They said,
โAnd the world was silentโ
and none of us could comprehend,
How the world stands by and watches
while so many people are being slayed.
Now itโs the same,
The world stands still.
No actual goodwill.
People keep getting killed.
Seizing Yachts doesnโt help those on the ground.
Boom boom boom boom, and no one makes a sound.
What can I say besides
โIโm sorry for your pain,
You are heroes and
I would have done the same.
Go ahead and protect your home.
Globalization is but a fake idea,
As you can see, You are all alone.
A lot of power can come from knowing that,
Go and make your enemies say Blyatโ.โ
My roots are from both Russia and Ukraine,
I guess I have to say โGoddamn.โ
I wish the world was more humane,
Because we are all the same.
