You only drew the hard lines.
I wish you could see the other side,
The gentle and divine.
I wish I could make you a playlist of my poetry.
You only read the severe rhymes,
Yet many are so refined.
I want you to read my signs,
Because I feel like we’re wasting time.
I wish I could make you a playlist of my poetry,
Maybe your feelings would realign.
I know they haven’t declined,
Maybe you’ll say “please be mine”.
