Life Around The Corner

Choosing Life and Operating Happiness

Beautiful Tears

I am a poet,
I cry myself to sleep.
I am a poet,
I cry when I eat.
I am a poet,
I write when I cry.
I am a poet,
I don’t need a reason why.
I feel when I cry,
I cry when I feel.
Every little thing,
Is a big deal.
I cry when I’m happy,
I cry when I’m sad,
Many people think crying is bad.
For me it’s my soul’s expression,
My crying is a form of confession.
My tears dancing on my face
Like musical notes,
They slide down my cheeks
Like they’re ski slopes.
My eyes become blurry for a minute,
Then my sight turns sharper in an instant.
My tears clear my eyes
And clean my soul,
I see the world better,
I feel more whole.
Feeling so much, my tears simply flow,
If you look in my eyes you can see them glow.
Between up and down
There is a balance to be achieved,
I wipe my tears and feel relieved.
I write the words my tears can’t reveal,
I write these words to help myself heal.
